168. Prescribed officer under section 141(l). -The prescribed officer for the purposes of sub-section (1) of section 141 shall be the officer commanding the unit to which the person appears to have belonged, or alleges that he belongs or had belonged, but: -

(a)        In the case of officers, the Director of Personnel (Officers); and

(b)        In the case of airmen, Officer Commanding, Air Force Record Office, shall also be the prescribed officer.
