27. Magistrate’s power to impose enhanced penalties. -Notwithstanding anything contained in See. 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898), it shall be lawful for any Presidency Magistrate or any Magistrate of the first class to pass any sentence under, this Act in excess of his power under Sec. 32 of the said Code.
