3. Subordination of Courts .- For the purposes of this Code, the District Court is subordinate to the High Court, and every Civil Court of a grade inferior to that of a District Court and every Court of Small Causes is subordinate to the High Court and District Court.


HIGH COURT AMENDMENT

CALCUTTA.- Insert the words “and the Court of Small Causes of Calcutta” after the words “District Court” and before the words “are subordinate to”; and the words “other than the Court of Small Causes of Calcutta” after the words “Court of Small Causes” and before the words “is subordinate”; substitute “are” for the word “is” before the words “subordinate to the High Court, and every Civil Court”; Cal. Gaz.. Pt I. dated 20.4.1967.
