233. Furnishing of information to Bureau of Indian Standards.- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that-

(a) every architect and other professional like structural engineer or project engineer involved in the execution of a building or other construction project, furnishes to the Bureau of Indian Standards, the details regarding the performance of and deviations or short-comings, if any, of the building materials, articles or process used in such building and other construction project for which the Indian Standards are already available;

(b) the architect and other professional referred to in clause (a) informs to the Bureau of Indian Standards, the details of building materials, articles or processes used in the building and other construction activities for which the Indian Standards do not exist with the Bureau of Indian Standards and the performance of such materials, articles or processes alongwith the suggestions for their improvement to enable the Bureau of Indian Standards to consider and form necessary standards.
