255. Chairperson to preside at meetings.- (1) The Chairperson shall preside over every meeting of the Board in which he is present, and if, for any reason the Chairperson is unable to attend the meeting any member nominated by the Chairperson in this behalf shall preside over the meeting.

(2) When the Chairperson is absent and no member has been nominated by the Chairperson under sub-rule (1), the members present shall elect one of them to preside over the meeting and the member so elected shall exercise all the powers of the Chairperson in conducting the meeting.

(3) No business shall be transacted at any meeting of the Board unless, at least, six members are present, of whom one shall be from among those nominated under clause (iii) of sub-rule (1) of rule 251.
