Countries to which Load Line Convention or Safety Convention applies.- (1) The Central Government, if satisfied,- (a) that the Government of any country has accepted or denounced the Load Line Convention or, as the case may be, the Safety Convention; or (b) that the Load Line Convention or, as the case may be, the Safety Convention extends, or has ceased to extend to any territory; may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make a declaration to that effect. (2) Any declaration made by or on behalf of the Central Government before the commencement of this Act in any form whatsoever, that the Government of any country has accepted or denounced the Load Line Convention or that the aid Convention extends or has ceased to extend to any territory shall be deemed to have been made under sub-section (1). |
