2. Definitions. - In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context: -

(a) “Act” means the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972;

(b) “appellate authority” means the Government or the authority specified by Punjab Government under sub-section (7) of Section 7;

(c) “Form” means a form appended to these rules;

(d) “nominations” means nomination made under section 6;

(e) “section” means a section of the Act.
