1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Motor Transport Workers Rules, 1963.

(2) The whole of these rules except rules 17 to 23 and Rule 25 shall come into force as soon as they are published in the Official Gazette and the State Government may by notification in the official Gazette that Rules 17 to 23 and Rule 25 shall come into force on such date or dates as may be specified in the notification.
