Penalty for contravention of Sec. 18.- Whoever tampers with, or alters, in any way, any reference standard, secondary standard, or working standard except where such alteration is made for the correction of any error noticed therein on verification, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both. |
