Cyber Squatting is also known as domain squatting. It is an act by which any person registers a domain name which identically or confusingly similar to the trade mark of a person or entity in the hope of selling or licensing it for profit to that person or entity.

Cyber Squatting is also known as cyber-piracy, domain name grabbing, and domain name piracy.

Many country has made law against it e.g. United States there exist Anti-cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
